Cheese: Supermarkets and also local producers e.g. Graindorge (at Livarot, 14140)

Cider: Supermarkets and also local producers e.g. La ferme du Bisson (61210 Bazoches au Houlme)

Calvados: Supermarkets & also local producers e.g. Calvados Dupont ( Victot-Pontfol 14430)

Wine & Liqueurs: Supermarkets – Take a look at sparkling Loire wines such as Saumur & Vouvray which challenge champagne in quality & value. You can also buy direct from local Producers e.g. Arpents du Soleil – the only vineyard in Normandy (Vendeuvre 14170) Benedictine liqueur, originally made by Norman monks in 1510 is still made in Normandy (Le Palais, Fecamp, 76400)

Beer: The supermarket is good value for most European beers & there are some boutique local producers e.g. including award winning Englishman Steve Skewes ‘Le Brewery’ at Joué du Bois 61320.

Caramels: look for the local brands in supermarkets & also direct from local producers e.g. Caramels d’Isigny( Isigny sur Mer,14230)Caramels

Biscuits: (often in very nice tins/packaging) Supermarkets & local producers e.g. les Sables d’Asnelles (Asnelles, 14960)

Honey:  look for the locally made products in supermarkets, Markets & also buy direct from local Producers e.g. Le Monde Merveilleux des Abeilles (La Vaquerie 14240)

Linen: Specialty shops e.g. ‘Passionnement Lin’ at Cabremer 14340
